Maybe I’m hallucinating, but haven’t you kind of noticed recently that these at-home tooth whiteners have become really popular?

I saw this trend really take off about a year ago when lots of companies started popping up on the radar claiming that their at home teeth whiteners could achieve results that were just as good as any dentist, and do it at about 99% discount.

I know that over on my blog, lots of people are searching for honest teeth whitening reviews and looking for the best deals. And I’m more than happy to oblige.

As I do every single time, I spent a fair amount of time looking into each of the products to find out which of them were really producing results for people, which didn’t have any track record to point to, and then looked at the manufacturers who were offering the best deals on their product to develop a very short list — this list only had two products on — of teeth whiteners that I could recommend to my readers.

Don’t worry, we’ll cover all this in a second, so just stick with me for a minute while I cover some important things that you need to think about before you choose a teeth whitener for yourself. Okay?

Now, it’s important that you realize that any time you make an appointment with your dentist to have a teeth whitening session, he’s going to charge you probably somewhere around $1000 when all is said and done.

Now that may not seem like a lot of money to some people, but I know that most of the readers of my blog would balk at having to fork over a grand or more just to have whiter teeth. So I put my thinking cap on and started doing some teeth whitening reviews so you all would have some much less expensive choices.

Now, the really interesting thing I found out during my research was this…..

A lot of these at-home whitening systems are actually the very same thing — or at least pretty darn close to them — that your dentist would use if you went to see him and asked to have this done.

Of course, any dentist can talk about all of the bells and whistles that they can use to enhance the basic product. But it’s so expensive to go that route, that it makes really very little sense to choose that option.

Don’t get the idea that I’m a dentist and that this is medical device. I’m not, and it isn’t. But I think I do have something they don’t teach you in dental school, which is a fair amount of common sense. And that’s what this advice is based on.

But does it make sense to go with the vastly more expensive option when you can get the same results for yourself at home for a tiny fraction of the cost?

And to top it all off, since you can get this stuff for free, it really pretty much becomes a no-brainer. That’s the way it seems to me anyway.

As far as which teeth whitener is the all-around best, the first thing I’d suggest is to make sure that the product you’re considering is willing to give you a free trial, and that they have a track record of results.
